A modern Georgian terrace house, was in reasonable condition, although had been a rental property for the last 5 years before my clients purchased the house. 2 bedrooms and en-suite on the top floor, 1 full bathroom, cloakroom, living and dining space on the ground floor, guest bedroom and living room on the middle floor.
The décor and use of each room was poor, lacking a cohesive feel. A major part of the brief was to work with the clients to turn this unloved house into a family home, especially with a new baby on the way, (born) just after project was finished.
The lighting was co-ordinated throughout using matching wall and light fixtures. Energy saving bulbs were specified throughout. In addition sockets were added where required to allow layers of lighting to be used. New furniture was specified to meet client requirements for additional storage and usability especially in living/dining space and living room where and AV wall was created and a space for home working. The colours and decoration were co-ordinated throughout.
The success of the project can be summed up by the client feedback “We would like to thank you, not only for your fantastic design ideas, but also for your personal dedication to us and our project. You have given us a beautiful home in which to raise our son, without us having to to worry about anything and that is invaluable.”
